We may not live “on the range” but we are certainly surrounded by it! 

Constantia/Tokia is tucked up to the base of Silvermine Mountain range but it virtually surrounded on three sides by others. It feels like we are tucked away in a little green oasis,surprisingly green considering the drought. The estate we live in is very progressive and uses its “grey water” for the golf course. The views are stunning every where I look and I feel very blessed to be able to spend a year here. We feel very safe ,in fact the girls cant understand what all the hype is about. Good thing/bad thing! I drove around the estate yesterday and its exhausting trying to give all your attention to every detail of driving. I have renewed compassion for new drivers! I am motivated however , to get out and explore all this wonderful place has to offer.

The biggest surprise is how cold the homes are here without central heating. Sean gets up early in the morning and starts a fire to warm up the kitchen for us.
